1. Agreement & Operational Scope
By using our website, submitting an enquiry, or reserving services through Karavali Booking ("we", "us", or "our"), you ("guest", "traveller", or "customer") acknowledge these general terms. Karavali Booking operates as a professional local travel and experience-booking brand, providing curated itinerary planning, booking coordination, customer convenience, and on-ground travel assistance across Coastal Karnataka (Murudeshwar, Gokarna, Honnavar, Yana, and Kumta).
All on-ground experiences—including Netrani Island scuba diving, water sports, boat cruises, accommodations, vehicle rentals, and taxi transport—are delivered and operated by independent licensed local activity operators, certified dive providers, boat captains, hotel/homestay hosts, and transport operators. Karavali Booking coordinates bookings, customer communication, and itineraries, but does not directly operate scuba dives, employ dive instructors, hold dive operator credentials, or independently guarantee diving safety.
2. Enquiries, Payments & Cancellation Responsibilities
- Enquiry Status: Submitting an online enquiry does not guarantee slot availability or confirm a booking. All bookings are finalized only after our local desk verifies dates and availability with the relevant service providers.
- Advance Payments: Advance deposits collected by Karavali Booking are used directly to reserve and secure slots with independent local activity operators, certified dive centers, and accommodation hosts. Payment receipts and booking confirmations are issued upon verification.
- Pricing Transparency: Quoted rates outline standard inclusions (such as equipment, boat transfers, instructor supervision, or fuel). Any optional additions or personal expenses are clearly communicated prior to final confirmation.
- Cancellation & Refunds: Cancellation requests must be submitted directly to our local desk. Refund eligibility is determined based on the cancellation policies of the underlying activity operator, dive center, or accommodation partner, and any non-recoverable operational costs incurred prior to cancellation.
3. Water Sports, Scuba Diving & Maritime Safety
Coastal water sports and Netrani Island scuba diving are adventure activities subject to maritime conditions, strict safety protocols, and port regulations:
- Qualified Activity Providers: All scuba diving sessions, underwater training, dive equipment, and vessel operations are conducted directly by licensed local dive operators and certified PADI/SSI instructors and divemasters. Underwater guidance and safety supervision remain under the direct authority of the certified dive team.
- Mandatory Safety Briefings: Participants must attend and follow all instructions given by certified divemasters and vessel captains during pre-departure and in-water safety briefings.
- Age Requirements: In accordance with maritime scuba safety guidelines, deep-sea scuba diving at Netrani Island requires participants to be at least 10 years old. Children aged 5–9 years may accompany on speedboats for surface sightseeing under adult supervision.
- Medical Self-Declaration: Participants must complete standard medical fitness self-declarations required by the dive operators prior to boarding. Individuals with pre-existing cardiovascular, respiratory, or ear conditions must obtain prior medical clearance.
- Life Jacket Requirement: All boat passengers and water sports participants must wear approved commercial life jackets while aboard vessels or during water activities.
Weather & Maritime Directives: Vessel departures and diving sessions operate strictly subject to sea conditions, coast guard advisories, and port authority clearances. If adverse weather or maritime safety authorities mandate a cancellation, guests are offered free date rescheduling or a refund of the affected activity portion coordinated through our desk.
4. Self-Drive Bike & Vehicle Rental Guidelines

- Refundable Security Deposit: A nominal refundable deposit is collected by the rental partner at handover and returned immediately upon vehicle return in good condition.
